NEWS3 rocket launchers seized in SW Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Frontier Corps seized three 107 mm rocket launchers along with 17 shells from an area in southwest district of Pishin in Baluchistan province, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The weapons had been dumped underground by unknown persons for sabotage purposes, said the report.
No arrest was made in this regard.
Pakistani security officials tightened their scrutiny measures across the country to foil possible terror plots as the country has seen a series of bombing attacks across the country since mid-January this year, in which over 40 people were killed.
Some 15 people including a senior civil judge, four lawyers and three clerks were killed and 32 others injured as a powerful blast hit a court in Quetta, the provincial capital of Baluchistan, on Feb. 17.
