This figure depicts a conscript infantryman of the Argentine army during the Falklands War.

Equipment was drawn from a variety of sources, both home produced and foreign; in this case it was mostly American. The helmet cover is acutally a BBi first pattern French Foreign Legion cover, but I think it looks similar to the Argentine 'Woodland' pattern from the time.
